Overview

Your bike tour in Italy begins in a Venitian lagoon within the picturesque port of Chioggia and leads through Italian romance, art, and history, ending in the heart of Tuscany. From the bridges of Comacchio and the early Christian mosaics of Ravenna to the Renaissance architecture of Florence, this tour features six days of pedaling through the heart of Italian culture and cuisine. Vineyards, idyllic landscapes, and the Apennines mountains backdrop add to the sheer joy of cycling. From the colorful ceramics in Faenza to the Etruscan ruins in Fiesole, cycling from the plains to the mountains, you will discover hidden gems all along your way. And of course, we have to mention the culinary fame of Emilia-Romagna, Italy's foremost pasta region! The 7 day, casual tour is designed for the more independent traveler. There is no welcome meeting with a representative. You simply download the digital route book, show up at your first hotel where your bike will be waiting for you, and navigate the tour at your own pace. While we have included luggage transfer in this option, you can also opt out of luggage transfer if you travel light and would like to transport your own luggage in rented panniers. Accommodations are in quality, 2, 3, or 4 star hotels, B&B's, and farmhouses. The 8 day, classic tour provides a welcome briefing with a tour representative, a bike fitting, and a dinner on day 6. Accommodations are in 3 or 4 star hotels or farmhouses. The e-bike fleet is made up of mostly Cannondale Mavaro and Tesoro, and Fantic 7 Days Living Easy models, with 625Wh batteries providing plenty of kilometers. With state of the art technology, our pedal-assist bikes are a fantastic option for cyclists who desire a little extra push. Although you still have to pedal, the e-bike drive gives a nice boost for your efforts – when your pedal stroke increases to go up a hill, for example, so does the amount of power the electric motor outputs. Less effort on your part translates to less power assist. The ladies/unixex version has step-through frame for easy mounting/dismounting. Equipped with rapid-fire shifters that operate the gears the just like a regular bike.
