Why Ride French Alps

Europe’s benchmark Tour de France climbing region, defined by iconic high-altitude cols, dense multi-pass circuits, and a short but highly concentrated riding season.

Terrain & Riding Structure

High-col objective days and iconic summit rides: Seasonal access only; longest and highest cols; exposed weather conditions
Training camps and multi-pass riding: Core multi-col circuit zone; reliable season; most camps based here
Transitions and lower-season riding: Connector terrain between major climbs; limited standalone value
Alternative road training and lower-altitude climbing: Lower altitude, lower crowd density, more accessible shoulder-season terrain
